The main Samsung MagicINFO alternatives are Screenbird, Samsung VXT, Yodeck, OptiSigns, ScreenCloud, NoviSign, Xibo, EasySignage, Screenly and Navori or Signagelive. Screenbird suits teams with mixed screens that want every feature in one plan from EUR 12 per screen per month billed annually.
Why teams look for a MagicINFO alternative
Samsung's own roadmap sets the pace: MagicINFO On-Premise sales end on December 31, 2026, and Samsung says all sales move to VXT from 2027. The dates and the stay-or-move logic are in the MagicINFO end-of-sale guide; this page compares where to go.
Four other reasons come up in the vendor documentation. MagicINFO 8 received its final security patch in October 2023, according to Samsung. VXT shows Contact us instead of prices, so budgeting needs a sales call. VXT payment is by debit or credit card only, per Samsung's FAQ. And teams that add non-Samsung screens, such as Fire TV or Windows players, need software that treats those as normal rather than as an exception.
Comparison of ten platforms
Selection criterion, checkable on the vendor pages: the vendor states that its software runs on Samsung screens. Screenbird is listed first for teams with mixed screens, because the one plan carries every feature. It reaches Samsung TVs through the built-in browser.
| Platform | Runs on Samsung screens |
|---|---|
| Screenbird | Yes, in the built-in browser of recent Samsung TVs; a stick for all-day screens |
| Samsung VXT | yes |
| Yodeck | yes |
| OptiSigns | yes |

| NoviSign | yes |

| EasySignage | yes |

Profiles
Screenbird. Screenbird is a cloud CMS with playlists, scheduling, split screen, proof of play, a designer with 250+ templates and an AI assistant, all in one plan. It runs on Amazon Signage Stick, Fire TV, Google TV, Windows, Mac, Linux, Raspberry Pi and any modern browser, so Samsung TVs and other brands can share one account. Screens keep playing when the internet drops, and content and schedules are set up in the cloud dashboard.
Samsung VXT. VXT is the successor Samsung names itself. The remote-management plans cover power, security and screen settings. VXT pages also say non-Samsung Android, Windows and BrightSign devices can be registered, depending on model. VXT shows Contact us instead of a public price and takes debit or credit card payment only, and the migration tool needs a PostgreSQL MagicINFO server; its up to 65% discount ended on June 30, 2026.
Yodeck. Yodeck lists Samsung Tizen among ten player platforms on its players page.
OptiSigns. OptiSigns lists Samsung TVs among its supported devices.
ScreenCloud. ScreenCloud's supported hardware page names Samsung Tizen players for Tizen 7.0 and 6.5.
NoviSign. NoviSign lists Samsung Tizen as a supported operating system and has Business, Business Plus i and Premium i plans with a 30-day trial. Roles and approvals sit on the top plan.
Xibo. Xibo has an open-source core, a cloud service and a self-hosted option. Its Tizen player is a commercial perpetual licence, and Xibo has announced that from June 30, 2028 Xibo Cloud drops HTTPS support for older Tizen devices, so check the screen model.
EasySignage. EasySignage lists Samsung Tizen and publishes three paid tiers. Open API and the AI Assistant start on Premium.
Screenly. Screenly lists an app for Samsung Tizen and SSSP commercial displays and is API-first.
Navori and Signagelive. Navori Labs acquired Signagelive in August 2025, and both list Samsung among supported screens. Navori positions itself for large screen networks, with Cloud Essential intended for fewer than 250 screens.
Before you switch from MagicINFO
- Licence inventory. Count licences per MagicINFO server and note the server version. Samsung's licence documentation, an older page, says a licence activated on one computer cannot be used on another.
- Which screens. List every display model and its Tizen generation. Platforms differ here: ScreenCloud names Tizen 7.0 and 6.5 players, and Xibo's cloud ends HTTPS for older Tizen devices in 2028. Test one screen of each model on every shortlisted platform.
- Content formats. Sort content into video, images, documents, web pages and live feeds. Platforms such as Yodeck, OptiSigns and Xibo say web pages, embedded sites or live streams do not play without internet, while stored media does.
- External data sources. List every feed, spreadsheet, database or point-of-sale link MagicINFO displays, and check that the new platform has a connector or an API. Screenbird connects to Google Sheets and Slides, Power BI, Excel, SharePoint and OneDrive.
- Users and rights. Write down who publishes, who only edits and who approves. Roles sit on higher tiers on several platforms, for example Yodeck Enterprise, OptiSigns Pro and NoviSign Premium i.
What is the best alternative to Samsung MagicINFO?
For teams that run Samsung screens next to Fire TV, Google TV or Windows players, Screenbird is the first option: every feature in one plan from EUR 12 per screen per month billed annually.
Does Screenbird run on Samsung TVs?
Yes, on recent Samsung TVs through the built-in browser; see Screenbird on Samsung Tizen. For screens that run all day, Screenbird recommends a small stick.
Is Samsung VXT the same as MagicINFO?
No. Samsung describes VXT as the next generation of MagicINFO. VXT is a cloud CMS with separate CMS and remote-management plans, while MagicINFO On-Premise is server software that Samsung stops selling on December 31, 2026.
Can a MagicINFO setup be moved automatically?
Samsung's VXT CMS Transformer migrates a MagicINFO setup to VXT and needs a PostgreSQL MagicINFO server, a running server and MagicINFO credentials. On Screenbird, content and schedules are set up in the cloud dashboard.
Which MagicINFO alternatives publish prices?
Screenbird, Yodeck, OptiSigns, ScreenCloud, NoviSign, EasySignage, Screenly and Xibo Cloud publish at least an entry price. VXT shows Contact us, and Navori and Signagelive publish no visible amount.
